ODU men's basketball coach Jeff Jones suffers heart attack while with the team in Hawaii

A school spokesperson said it happened Wednesday night while he was in Hawaii with the team for the ESPN Diamond Head Classic tournament.

HONOLULU — Old Dominion University men's basketball coach Jeff Jones is recovering from a heart attack.

A school spokesperson said it happened Wednesday night while he was in Hawaii with the team for the ESPN Diamond Head Classic tournament

He's in the hospital now and will miss the Monarchs' game Thursday night against the TCU Horned Frogs at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

We're told he's expected to make a full recovery.

In the meantime, Assistant Coach Kieran Donohue will be the interim head coach for the entirety of the tournament.
