Allette releases personal statement regarding dismissal from ODU men's basketball program

Allette spoke on the matter for the first time on Saturday afternoon, posting a message to his 'X' account.

TORONTO, ON — Less than a week after ODU's statement regarding the dismissal of ODU guard Vasean Allette was released, Allette released a personal statement regarding the incident on Saturday after.

The following statement was posted to Vallette's personal 'X' account, formerly known as Twitter.

Interim head coach Kiernan Donohue indicated on Tuesday that Allette was still enrolled at the university but whether or not that is still the case is uncertain. Allette was the second Monarch released from the team this season after Dericko Williams was released on December 9th for unspecified reasons. Allette was dismissed due to misconduct "unbecoming of a Monarch,".

Allette led the Monarch's in scoring with over 17 points per game and was the second leading scorer in the Sun Belt Conference.
