VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- All varsity football games for Virginia Beach City Public Schools have been rescheduled due to Hurricane Matthew.
The football games, that were originally scheduled for Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8, have been rescheduled for Thursday, October 6.
The games will begin at 7 p.m., except for First Colonial's home game against Bayside, which will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The changes were made due to weather threats from Hurricane Matthew. The hurricane may cause high winds and rain the area.
The games will still be played at the original locations.
The school district has not released any information regarding changes to after-school activities, however that may change depending on the weather.
