CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Consider this your official reminder that early voting continues for another week.
If you’re planning on heading to the polls this weekend in North Carolina we are going over some facts, before you head to the polls.
WCNC Charlotte is still getting a lot of questions about early voting and what's on the ballot so let’s verify.

THE QUESTION:
Can you write in a candidate for president in North Carolina?
ANSWER:
Dickerson said there is a process potential candidates in each race must complete to qualify and this race met those qualifications.
Here in Mecklenburg County, the soil and water conservation district supervisor is the only other race that met these qualifications.
THE QUESTION:
Can you use your phone in the voting booth?
THE ANSWER:
Yes, but only to look at candidate information or a sample ballot.
However, according to the North Carolina State Board of Elections you cannot take pictures, talk on the phone, or text.
THE QUESTION:
We have been getting a lot of questions about internet interference with the voting machines- so are they hooked up to the internet?
THE ANSWER:
This is false. Dickerson said voting machines in North Carolina are offline and never connected to the internet.
He said ballots are programmed on a stand-alone computer.
One last reminder before you head to the polls: you must bring a valid photo ID with you.
