FORT EUSTIS -- A soldier was stabbed at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday in Building 698 living quarters at Fort Eustis.
The man suffered stab wounds to his abdomen and hands.
He was transported to a local hospital by Fort Eustis Fire and Emergency Services and is currently in stable condition.
Police have charged Pvt. Christopher Turner of the 7th Sustainment Brigade with aggravated assault.
Police said another person of interest has been released after investigators determined that person was not involved in the incident.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
