RODANTHE, NC-- A home that was damaged during Hurricane Sandy has collapsed into the ocean in Rodanthe, North Carolina.
Officials say the two-story, oceanfront cottage on Dean Avenue collapsed Sunday evening. It had been condemned for six months.
According to Dare County Emergency Management Director Sandy Sanderson, the county can't step in to clean up the mess and send the owner the bill.
Officials are hopeful that the owner will come forward to remove the debris.
