NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- According to a report from ESPN, a Norfolk State University basketball player is out of a coma, two weeks after she was found unresponsive in her dorm room on New Year's Day.
Junior forward Amber Brown was in a medically-induced coma.
A message posted on a Facebook page created by Brown's cousin, stated Wednesday that she was "more awake and alert." The post also indicated that Brown would start physical therapy soon.
