NOVA SCOTIA - It was a one in two-million catch for Nova Scotia waterman Bobby Stoddard.
He says he and his crew caught the blue lobster last month, the first he's seen in his 33 years on the sea.
Right now, it's living in a holding tank until Stoddard can decide what to do with it.
Stoddard says he offered the crustacean to an ocean research institute, but they didn't want it. He also tried selling it online but says he got some strange calls and emails.
The University of Maine Lobster Institute says lobsters turn blue because of a genetic variation that causes it to produce an excessive amount of protein.
