DUCK, N.C. — The video of a powerful storm slamming Duck, North Carolina was taken by Adam Smith.
His vantage point is from The Village Table and Tavern.
People are rushing to get inside, away from the storm approaching at 65 mph.
Kayaks and catamarans are thrown around next to the restaurant as the storm reaches the shore.
There are some reports of winds up to 78 mph- the strength of an EF-0 tornado.
There were still people in the water and on the dock who had to rush out and run for cover. One woman was even blown to the ground by the strong winds.
