NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk's top prosecutor is facing legal troubles of his own.
A Norfolk Circuit Court Judge has ordered Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney, Ramin Fatehi, to appear in court to explain why he should not be held in contempt of court.
The paperwork says Fatehi "openly insulted and resisted the powers of the court, engaged in acts calculated to embarrass, hinder or obstruct the court in the administration of justice and taunted the court."
Fatehi reportedly told the judge during the hearing: "That's the second error of law that you have committed, " according to the document.
The judge called that comment " grossly insolent."
The judge asks Fatehi to appear in court on March 15.
We reached out to Fatehi's office about this, he declined to comment.
