CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Everyone wants to know — who will win the 2024 Presidential Election?
The city of Chesapeake in Virginia may have the answer.
Since 2000, voters in Chesapeake have sided with the winning candidate for the U.S. Presidency.
George W. Bush won Chesapeake in both 2000 and 2004. Barack Obama won in 2008 and 2012. Donald Trump won in 2016. And Joe Biden won in 2020.
This year would be the seventh straight presidential election that Chesapeake has been a bellwether, if voters there side with the winning candidate again this year.
Only three times since 1960 has Chesapeake not voted for the winning presidential candidate: Richard Nixon in 1968 and Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996.
