NEWPORT NEWS--A Newport News police officer accused of indecent exposure for allegedly standing nude on the front porch of his home in April may soon be facing a felony charge.

In court Friday, prosecutors decided not to move forward with three misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure against 41-year-old Christopher Roush.

However, Roush's attorney Robert Lawrence says the misdemeanor charges could be swapped with a felony charge.

Roush used to be known as Officer Chris Miner. In 2010, he was found not guilty on a charge of abduction with intent to defile.

Roush has been with Newport News police for nine years and remains on unpaid administrative leave
