A thick pane of glass was all that stood between a small boy and the very large lion that was stalking him.
The video shows the small child peering through the exhibit window at a lion at the Chiba Zoological Park in Japan. The unassuming boy then turns, showing his back to the lion. The lion instinctively springs up, runs at the boy and slams into the glass as he gets ready to pounce.
The boy turns around to see the very large cat just feet away.
The video has quickly gone viral, and has been viewed nearly 1.8 million times since it was posted June 4.
