SUFFOLK, Va. — To honor past service members this holiday season, thousands of wreaths were placed at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Cemetery in Suffolk on Saturday.
It was all part of the Horton Wreath Society's Annual Holiday Wreath Laying Ceremony.
This year, organizers said nearly 13,000 wreaths were placed in front of headstones at the cemetery located on Milners Road.
"Local and other interested friends continue to join together each year to honor our Veterans by placing a wreath at each grave site and columbarium row. With your support, we hope to continue this in the coming years," according to Horton Wreath Society's website.
