NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- More than 150 sailors aboard the USS Newport News are back home.
The Los Angeles fast-attack submarine returned to Naval Station Norfolk around 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. The submarine came home from a regularly scheduled deployment.
It was gone for about six months. While deployed, the crew of the Newport News supported national security interests, and maritime security operations.
