NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- U.S. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus is making a stop in Norfolk Friday.
Mabus will meet with members of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce to thank local businesses for supporting the Navy and also give an update on Navy initiatives.
Remarks will focus on Navy and Marine Corps accomplishments over the past seven years and continued efforts to advance the Department of the Navy in innovation, energy, shipbuilding, personnel initiatives and partnerships.
Mabus is the 75th U.S. Secretary of the Navy, the longest to serve as leader of the Navy and Marine Corps since World War I.
