Welcome back heroes: Harley-Davidson’s special gift for USS Eisenhower returning service members

The giveaway comes after the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group officially returned home on July 14 following an extended 9-month deployment.

YORKTOWN, Va. — Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson is welcoming service members back home. All crew members of the USS Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group 2 are invited to stop by the Yorktown dealership for a free gift in honor of their service.

The store is giving away free “Welcome Home Ike” t-shirts to honor their dedication and bravery. Officials with Harley-Davidson say to share this news with your Navy friends to ensure everyone gets their free t-shirt.

This giveaway comes after service members assigned to the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group officially returned home on July 14.

The group of four ships, nine squadrons, and 6,500 sailors returned after a nine-month deployment defending the Red Sea from Houthi rebel attacks, in the midst of the Israel-Hamas war.

The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group escorted 28 vessels, launching hundreds of missiles. Ike aircrews flew more than 13,000 sorties, accumulated more than 31,000 flight hours, and completed more than 10,000 aircraft launches and recoveries.

Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson is located at 6450 George Washington Memorial Highway in Yorktown.
