JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. (AP) - Officials are preparing for a several-day maritime training exercise at Fort Eustis.
Fort Eustis says the training exercises will be held at James River Fleet from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. starting Friday and lasting through Tuesday.
The exercises will include flares and firing blank ammunition. That means residents in the area may hear flares or hear sounds simulating live fire.
Fort Eustis is a training post that's the headquarters of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command.
