WASHINGTON — National Burrito Day is coming up on Thursday, April 4, and several national retailers are getting in the spirit by offering customers deals and freebies.
The unofficial holiday falls on the first Thursday in April and celebrates all things burrito.
Chipotle Burrito Vault
Chipotle is giving away 100,000 buy one, get one free entrée codes through an interactive game it's calling the Burrito Vault. The challenge involves guessing two exact order combinations, ingredient by ingredient, to unlock the bank.
The company already gave away 50,000 codes on Tuesday to the first 50,000 who successfully figured out the code. Another 50,000 will be available Wednesday when the game resets starting at 3 p.m. Eastern. The buy one, get one free codes are redeemable only on April 4, National Burrito Day.
Everyone who correctly guesses the Chipotle order will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes to win free burritos for a year.
Chipotle Rewards members can also cash in a $0 delivery free offer on National Burrito Day with the promo code: DELIVER.
Qdoba National Burrito Day deal
To celebrate National Burrito Day, Qdoba is offering a free burrito with the purchase of an entrée and a drink. The promo is only available to Qdoba Rewards Members and redeemable in-stores and online on Thursday, April 4.
Baja Fresh buy one, get one free
In honor of National Burrito Day, Baja Fresh is offering buy-one, get-one free burritos from April 1 through April 4. The offer is only for rewards members who order online or through the Baja Fresh app with the promo code: BURRITO2024.
Pancheros National Burrito Day giveaway
Pancheros, which has locations in 13 states, will be giving away 10,000 free burritos on National Burrito Day. Throughout the day, Pancheros will be posting codes on its social media accounts on Thursday, April 4, to unlock a free burrito coupon on the Pancheros app. There will be 2,500 free burrito codes dropping at 9 a.m. CST, 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., each time on a different social media network.
Sheetz $2 off on National Burrito Day
Starting on National Burrito Day and going through Saturday, April 6, 2024, Sheetz is offering $2 off its made-to-order burritos. The promo is valid at all of Sheetz's more than 720 locations and must be added under the "OFFERZ" tab on the chain's mobile app.
Moe's National Burrito Day offer
On April 4, Moe's Southwest Grill will have a buy one, get one free deal on burritos or bowls. The offer is only valid at participating locations and not valid with any other offer or reward, or third-party delivery.
Taco John's National Burrito Day Deal and Taco Pizza
On National Burrito Day, members of Taco John's loyalty rewards program can get $2 off any Meat and Potato Burrito Combo.
Also, every Thursday in April - including National Burrito Day on April 4 - Taco John's rewards members can get $2 off the chain's new Taco Pizza offering. The deal will be available using promo code TACOPIZZA in the Taco John’s app each Thursday in April (April 4-25).
