ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — The Elizabeth City Police Department said a woman from North Carolina whom someone reported missing had been found safe.
Victoria Jones, 25, disappeared from the Virginia Beach area. Elizabeth City police officers said their department helped in the investigation by entering Jones' name into the National Crime Information Center's missing person database.
Somebody found Jones in Virginia Beach. A family member picked her up and took her back to Elizabeth City.
