NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- On Friday, nearly 100 military officers received their commissions at Old Dominion University.
The Army and Navy ROTC cadets and midshipmen are from ODU, Norfolk State University, Hampton University and Regent University.
The oath of office was administered by Rear Admiral Jesse Wilson, Commander of Naval Surface Force Atlantic.
They had their lieutenant's bars pinned by their loved ones, and then they rendered their first salutes as commissioned officers.
