NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- The seemingly unending list of bad news for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter continues to grow.
A new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office says Congress should consider withdrawing funding for the F-35 program until the Pentagon can correct almost 1,000 deficiencies with the jet.
Among the many shortfalls: inspectors have found problems with the plane's ejection seat, oxygen supply system, and its mid-air refueling capabilities.
The Department of Defense has requested more than $10 billion over the next decade for the F-35.
