SUFFOLK, Va. — Virginia has a new millionaire, but no one knows who it is yet.
The winning numbers in January 9th's drawing were 12-15-32-33-53 with the mega ball number 24. Only three tickets matched each of the five winning numbers nationwide, and one of those winning tickets was sold here in Hampton Roads.
The person who bought the ticket from the Murphy USA on College Drive in Suffolk also opted to pay an extra dollar for the Megaplier, tripling their prize to $3 million.
Now for the $3 million question: who has that ticket?
Whoever has the winning ticket has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize. When that person is ready to claim their multimillion-dollar prize, they should contact the Virginia Lottery.
