FRANKLIN, Va. — Check your Powerball ticket! No one has turned in the winning ticket for the January 20, 2024 drawing.
The winning Powerball ticket worth $150,000 will expire on Thursday, July 18 at 5 p.m. Winning tickets in Virginia expire 180 days after the drawing.
The winning ticket numbers were 16-31-34-47-65 and the Powerball number was 10. The ticket matched four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball number.
Whoever has the winning ticket should contact the Virginia Lottery. For a list of customer service numbers, visit the Virginia Lottery website.
The winning ticket was bought at Park N Shop in Franklin, Virginia.
By law, unclaimed lottery prizes go to Virginia's Literary Funds, a program that provides low-interest loans to localities for public school construction, renovations, and technology upgrades.
All Virginia Lottery profits go to K-12 education in Virginia. This ticket was bought in Franklin, which received more than $1.5 million in Lottery funds for K-12 education last fiscal year. In Fiscal Year 2023, the Lottery raised more than $867 million for K-12 education, making up approximately 10 percent of Virginia’s total K-12 school budget.
