Williamsburg woman accused of early morning stabbing in York County

51-year-old Regina Harvey is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, the York County Sheriff's Office said.

YORK COUNTY, Va. — A woman is behind bars, charged with stabbing a man early Friday morning. 

The York County Sheriff's Office said 51-year-old Regina Harvey of Williamsburg got into an argument with a 39-year-old man at a Days Inn on Bypass Road shortly after 4 a.m. During the fight, deputies said Harvey stabbed the man. 

Harvey is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and is currently in custody at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

The sheriff's office said the victim had two serious lacerations, but did not otherwise say how serious his injuries were.
