School bus aide arrested and charged in York County

According to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office, 75-year-old Cynthia Diana Greasley was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

YORK COUNTY, Va. — A former school bus aide at Mount Vernon Elementary School in York County was arrested and charged for assaulting a child, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office.

On Monday, the the Sheriff’s Office received information from school administration that 75-year-old Cynthia Diana Greasley had assaulted a 6-yearold student with disabilities on a school bus. 

Greasley allegedly boarded a school bus that had arrived at the school, and dragged the child down the aisle from the rear of the bus before shoving them off the bus toward an awaiting teacher. 

The Sheriff's Office said Greasley is no longer a York County School Division employee. She is charged with assault and battery.
