YORK COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police is investigating a deadly crash involving a bicyclist Thursday.
VSP says it happened on East Rochambeau Drive near Airport Road, in York County just before 3:30 p.m.
According to Virginia State Police, the bicyclist drifted and lost control, going into the eastbound traffic lanes. Then, he was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado.
The bicyclist was taken to Sentara Williamsburg, where he died from his injuries.
He's been identified as Michael Everett Gleason, 76.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, and neither alcohol nor speed were a factor.
