A woman has died after a single-car crash on I-664 north near Power Plant Parkway Tuesday morning, according to Virginia State Police.
Officers arrived and found a woman, identified as 50-year-old Enjema Namosha Glover, of Hampton, with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said she had to be pulled from the car by Hampton firefighters. Glover was transported to Riverside Regional Hospital, where she later died, police added.
Investigators believe Glover was driving a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria when she ran off the road and went down an embankment-- hitting several trees.
Virginia State Police said one lane was closed, but it has since been reopened.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
