WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — A woman is in critical condition after being struck while walking in Williamsburg.
Williamsburg Fire and Police departments responded to the traffic crash involving a pedestrian on Armistead Avenue near Prince George Street at 3:23 p.m. Saturday.
A preliminary investigation found that a red Toyota Tacoma was traveling east on Prince George Street and turned left onto Armistead Avenue when it struck the 55-year-old woman who was walking on Armistead Avenue.
The woman has been transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center and is in critical condition.
Williamsburg Police Department is conducting the investigation. At this time, neither alcohol nor speed appear to be factors in the crash. York County Fire & Life Safety responded to assist.
