WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — A house sustained significant smoke damage during a fire overnight in Williamsburg.
Crews from the James City County Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire around 12:51 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Thompson Lane.
The residents were at the home at the time of the fire and evacuated before crews arrived.
James City-Bruton Volunteer Fire Department, Williamsburg Fire Department, and York County Department of Fire and Life Safety assisted.
The James City County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
