Busch Gardens' 2024 Howl-O-Scream starts this week

Busch Gardens' spooky, annual tradition starts next week in Williamsburg. And this year is being touted as the scariest of them all!

NORFOLK, Va. — Hot temperatures may have it feeling like summer this week, but it’s not too early to start thinking about Halloween.

That’s because a spooky, annual tradition starts next week in Williamsburg.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is celebrating 25 years of Howl-O-Scream this year.

On Friday, September 6, the event is back in full force, and this year is being touted as the scariest of them all. The park even has a parental discretion warning after 6 p.m. because some of the thrills may be too scary for young kids.

This year, the park will feature five haunted houses, including two new ones: Monster Manor and Clown Town.

There are also two new “Terror-Tories” for you to explore – The Bash and Stalker Street – on top of the four you may have seen last year.

‘Jack’ is back again this year, too. He’s the Howl-O-Scream liaison. Join him in France for a daily dance party.

If haunts aren’t your thing, you can get some exercise with a new event at the park. It’s the first annual Fiends Frenzy 5k. The race is September 29, and it passes through the park with entertainment along the way.

And for the thrill ride lovers, nine of the park's rollercoasters will be available to ride after dark.

Howl-O-Scream 2024 runs from September 6 through November 3.
