WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WVEC) -- Busch Gardens is one step closer to building a new -- and huge -- attraction.
Last week, the theme park submitted a height waiver request under the title "Busch Gardens Madrid." They wanted permission to build a structure that was about 315 feet tall.
For comparison, the current tallest roller coaster is Griffon, which stands at 205 feet tall. The park's overall tallest ride, Mach Tower, is 240 feet tall. So this would be by far the largest attraction at the park.
On Tuesday night, the James City County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the waiver.
There's still no word on what exactly Busch Gardens plans on building.
