Budweiser's Williamsburg brewery offers public pop-up tours this summer

After nearly 20 years, the public can now tour the Williamsburg Budweiser brewery starting June 1.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WVEC) -- The Williamsburg brewery of Anheuser-Busch is opening its doors for public tours this summer!

For the first time in nearly 20 years, the community will have an opportunity to see the company's brewing process.

Tours being on June 1, and select Saturdays and Sundays from June 2 to September 2. The 60 to 90-minute tours are on a first come, first serve basis.

Public tours are available on the following weekends:

  • June 1
  • June 2 – June 3
  • July 7 – 8
  • August 4 – 5
  • September 1 – September 2

On Fridays, tours are at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Then on Saturdays and Sundays tour times are 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Guests will be able to have a unique behind-the-scenes look at the art of brewing Budweiser. The tour includes visits to brewing, the lagering and finishing cellars, packaging, and a sample directly from a finishing tank for those 21+.

The cost of the tour is $25 for guests 21 and over and $10 for guests aged 13 to 20. Anyone under the age of 13 is not permitted to join the tour.

The Anheuser-Busch Williamsburg Brewery opened in 1972 and brews beer enjoyed by residents in Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Georgia.
