SURRY COUNTY, Va. — George Randolph Hankins, 81, was reported missing on Monday, and Virginia State Police issued a Senior Alert for him.
Hankins is a white male with blue eyes, 5'8" tall, and weighs 230 lbs. His photo is slightly out of date -- he is bald and his gray beard is trimmed.
He was last seen on Monday around 12:30 p.m. near his home on Deer Ridge Road in Spring Grove, in Surry County. Authorities said he is possibly wearing a Carhartt-brand camouflage jacket and blue sweatpants, presumed to be on foot and not in a vehicle.
Virginia State Police say Hankins "suffers from a cognitive impairment and his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety."
