SMITHFIELD, Va. — UPDATE: Smithfield police said Christopher Pelkey Jr. has been found safe.

A special needs teen has been reported missing in Smithfield.
Smithfield police say 16-year-old Christopher Pelkey Jr. was last seen around 10:25 a.m. on Sunday. He was on his moped on Astrid Street and possibly was wearing a black jacket and pants.
Smithfield police say that they have found his moped, but he is still unaccounted for.
