GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) -- A man who loves casino games won the Virginia Lottery's $1,000,000 High Rollers Club Scratcher game.

John May bought the ticket at a Rite Aid located in the 6900 block of Main Street in Gloucester. He scratched the ticket to learn that he won the game's top prize!

May had the option to take the full million over 30 years, or a cash option of $675,982 before taxes. He chose the cash option. The Rite Aid received a $10,000 bonus from the Virginia Lottery for selling the winning ticket.

The $1,000,000 High Rollers Club game is one of the dozens of Scratchers offered by the Virginia Lottery. It features prizes ranging from $10 up to $1,000,000. May is the second player to win the $1 million prize in this game, which means two more remain unclaimed.
