RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A man who allegedly picked up a then-15-year-old girl at her high school bus stop to have paid sex with him has been indicted by a federal grand jury.

Multiple media outlets report 46-year-old Stephen T. Callis was charged Tuesday with one count of sex trafficking children and with enticing someone under the age of 16 to commit prostitution.

In court documents, investigators say Callis would wait for the teen at her bus stop or pick her up in her neighborhood, drive to a hotel in Midlothian and pay her for sex. The 15-year-old is quoted in the documents as saying she charged $60 "for services" and that Callis knew her age.

Callis has an arraignment set for Jan. 20. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
