NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Still looking for a fun activity for your kids to do this summer?

Virginia Zoo in Norfolk has several safari summer camps available for students entering first grade through eighth grade in the fall of 2017.

There are 8 weeks of full-day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., sessions that parents can choose from.

Each age group has two different camps so children can attend more than one session of camp.

Sessions vary from zoo detectives, to science of yuck, and even nature explorers depending on your child's age.

Kids entering kindergarten in the fall of 2017 can sign up for the Virginia Zoo's early explorers program.

Each camp option offers a unique opportunity for kids to learn about the animals, a day in the life of a zoo keeper, and much more.

Sessions start June 26 and end just before school starts.

If parents need their kids to stay longer than 4 p.m., an after camp is available until 5 p.m. daily.
