VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A gunman went into the Virginia Beach Municipal Center's Building 2 on Friday, May, 31 at 4 p.m., and within minutes 12 people were killed and four were injured.
The community has come together to unite in so many ways like wearing blue to honor the victims and holding vigils throughout the week.
At one entrance to the municipal center, there's a makeshift memorial made up of bouquets, flags, teddy bears and crosses bearing the names of the shooting's victims.
Funeral arrangements are starting to be made for the victims:
A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Tallwood High School, 1668 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, 23464.
She was a Public Works Right-of-Way Agent for 4 years, and she was from Chesapeake.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Church of the Holy Family, 1279 N. Great Neck Rd., Virginia Beach. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA. He was a Public Utilities engineer for 28 years, and he was from Norfolk.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 5181 Singleton Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23462 with inurnment to follow at the church.
He was a Public Works engineer for only 11 months, and he was from Powhatan.

Eric Edwards will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 400 Hill Boulevard, East Liverpool, Ohio. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.
She was a Public Utilities Administrative Assistant for 12 years, and she was from Virginia Beach.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, 2019, from 6-8:00 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at London Bridge Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
He was a contractor from Virginia Beach.
