PERQUIMANS COUNTY, N.C., (WVEC) -- Officials are alerting citizens of fake $20 bills circulating.
The Perquimans County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that several counterfeit bills have been "passed around the area."
A closer look at the $20 bill, below the picture of President Andrew Jackson, it says "This is a replica."
County officials said if you receive one of these bill call your local law enforcement agency.
