NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) — According to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, a partial government shutdown will not affect them.
In a Facebook post, the organization revealed that regardless of what happens in Washington D.C. on Friday, December 21 at midnight the shipyard will function as normal.
The Department of Defense is already fully funded for Fiscal Year 2019 so the Norfolk Naval Shipyard will not be interrupted. That means all workers are expected to report to work or take leave as scheduled.
