GATES COUNTY, N.C. (WVEC) -- The Gates County Sheriff's office is investigating a shooting that happened around 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
The shooting took place on 37 South near Hobbesville.
Police are searching for a gold colored diesel truck that was occupied by two white males. One was in the front of the truck and one was in the rear.
The truck sustained some damage after it struck a tree during the incident.
There was no word on the condition of the victim but Sheriff Ed Webb said they were in the process of contacting next of kin.
