EDENTON, NC (WVEC) -- The high winds battering the East Coast Friday caused one tractor-trailer to fall on its side on the Edenhouse Chowan River Bridge.
A viewer photo showed the Pepsi-branded truck on its side in the median on Friday afternoon.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol said that as of 2:30 p.m., the inside northbound and inside southbound lanes of the bridge were closed as they work to clear the scene.
Troopers said the high wind on the bridge is believed to be the culprit.
No injuries are reported.
