NAGS HEAD, N.C. — The Town of Nags Head says an 18-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, died after being pulled from the ocean last Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 3 p.m., police, and fire and rescue were called to the Gull Street public beach for three swimmers in distress. Two returned to shore, with one helped by a lifeguard. Both were taken to the hospital for evaluation, but the third swimmer could not immediately be found.
