KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. — A man was arrested in Kitty Hawk on Wednesday for allegedly pointing a gun at another person.
Kill Devil Hills police say that on Thursday just after noon, police were dispatched to a call involving an ongoing dispute between two parties that started in the Colington area of Dare County and moved into Kill Devil Hills; ultimately the dispute wound up in Kitty Hawk.
Police investigation revealed that 22-year-old Lorenzo Pacheco of Colington pointed a handgun at another Colington resident, while at the stoplight at U.S. Highway 158 and 1st Street.
A Glock 22 with an extended magazine with a 22-round capacity was seized in connection to the incident.
Kill Devil Hills police charged Pacheco with misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun. He was placed under a $10,000 secured bond which he paid and was released later that same day.
