NAGS HEAD, N.C. — The Federal Highway Administration said it is closing the Oregon Inlet boat ramp for three to five days, starting March 23, to pave the parking lot.
The job is part of a $6.9 million, 43-mile pavement preservation project going on along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Some of the places officials are trying to preserve include the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and the Wright Brothers National Memorial.
For boaters who are looking to take advantage of warmer weather, the Cape Hatteras National Seashore said the boating access at Washington Baum Bridge still will be open.
