DARE COUNTY, N.C. — A Newport News man was arrested and charged for cocaine and drug paraphernalia possession in North Carolina on Tuesday, according to the Dare County's Sheriff's office.
At 11:10 p.m., a patrol deputy stopped 28-year-old Zachary Palladini near Arch Street and North Croatan Highway in Kill Devil Hills for a traffic violation.
During the investigation, the deputy searched the vehicle and discovered cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Palladini was then arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the Dare County Sheriff's Office Detention Center.
