DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WVEC) – An Elizabeth City man faces several charges following a traffic stop on Highway 158 last week.
The arrest occurred on Oct. 20 when the Dare County Narcotics Task Force was out working near the Wright Memorial Bridge in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The task force officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
During the traffic stop, one of the passengers, Daquan Tyrie Whidbee, allegedly had cocaine and marijuana.
Whidbee is being held on $25,000 secured bond.
