CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — A marine died Wednesday evening in an incident on base at Camp Lejeune that authorities are calling a homicide.
In a statement from the U.S. Marine Corps, base officials said that around 10:15 p.m. law enforcement 'apprehended' a Marine who they suspected of involvement in the death of another Marine.
They said an incident had happened in a room in the barracks earlier that evening.
No further information has been released, but officials said they would share more details as they became available.
