NEWPORT NEWS -- A Newport News woman pleaded guilty Tuesday in the death of her 7-year-old son.
Heather Poertner was arrested in December following an investigation into the death of her son Charles.
The child, who had cerebral palsy, died in June 2010 from severe dehydration and medical or nutritional neglect, according to investigators.
Poertner will be sentenced on June 30.
